Design & Build Quality
The device feels quite sturdy in hand, because Asus has used aluminum to build the Zenfone 3S Max and it does not feel bulky even though it comes with a huge battery. The design is also a bit different. This front device sports a 5.2-inch display, and there’s a fingerprint sensor, below the display. Above the smartphone display, you’ll find the speaker and the front camera.
The back is pretty different from recent Asus Zenfone devices, and there’s a 13MP rear camera with LED flash. The lower side has a tiny plastic strip for better signal reception. For the right edge of the smartphone houses the power or lock button and the volume buttons. The SIM tray of Asus Zenfone 3S Max is on the left of the device.
This smartphone has a 5.2-inch HD 720p display. They put 720p just because to save more battery. We all know that the most battery consuming is from the screen.
The 720p display which means it has fewer numbers of pixels to light up in the 5.2-inch display which finally means the battery consumption will be minor than that of a 1080p display.
Battery Life & Verdict
With a 5000 mAh battery, the smartphone is expected to have a great and long battery life. The fact that Asus has also enabled the smartphone to be used as a power bank for reverse charging is shown that this phone is indeed a winner in the battery department.
